NYCDDC HWS2020Q1, Installation of Sidewalks, Adjacent Curbs and Pedestrian Ramps as Necessary in Various Locations
Queens, New York
The purpose of this project was to bring various intersection crossings in New York City into compliance with ADA regulations to improve accessibility and pedestrian safety. The scope of work included the installation of sidewalks and curbs in locations where they were absent, as well as the replacement of existing sidewalks and curbs that were in poor condition.
Ota Ade Oni Consulting is providing Resident Engineering Inspection services including field inspections of construction of sidewalks, adjacent curbs, and pedestrian ramps at various locations. This involved close observation of work to ensure compliance with NYCDDC specifications and adherence to ADA standards for pedestrian crossings and supervision of utility adjustments including catch basis, storm sewers, and fire hydrants.
